HeroQuest Elf Model Manufacturing Defect - Is It Rare?
12/06/16 at 1:42pm

Hi All,

I am having a big clear out and found my mid 90's copy of HeroQuest. I'm looking at selling it and was taking pictures when I noticed that the Elf model appears to have no arms/weapons. I don't remember if these were supplied as glue on pieces and I have just lot them, or whether it is a manufacturing defect that might make this a particularly rare or collectible item.

Can anyone give a view? I can post an image if that would be helpful?

Thanks

Andy

Sounds like it could possibly be a henchman from HeroQuest Advanced Edition. It would be easier to determine if there was a photo ...

I'm fairly sure its from before Advanced HeroQuest was published.

Yeah, try to sell that one as "rare". Let's see what idiot pays more than for a non-kaputt one.

It's a HeroQuest Elf alright. Or was, before its arms got molten or something.

Doesn't look like it was melted off. Could definitely be a defect, but I don't see anyone buying it at a high price because it's messed up. A rare defect for sure, but probably not a collector's item.

Let's not euphemize this.
It's a defect and anyone paying more money than for a fine two-armed specimen of a pansy elf should be driven naked through the streets of Pittsburgh for monumental stupidity and fetish fanboyism.
Armless fetish, no less. Ptew. "SHAA-ame!"

Why Pittsburgh?!? Fly over states aren't any punishment, at least a coast city with national news outlet ...

No special reason. Just the first city that came to mind.
How about Albuquerque?

I have some miscut spell cards where you can see part of two elements on the back and had the same thought.  Never tried to sell them though.

Maybe the elf can still cast spells by waving those stumps around?
