Looking for Dave Morris gamebooks
01/20/16 at 12:18am

Hi.

I have recently translated Dave Morris' In the Night Season to play with my family. I even made it into a kind of a board game with cards, tokens, etc. My son liked it so much, that I decided to translate the other 2 books as well. Unfortunately, the scans that I found some 10 years ago are no more. And I can't find them anywhere.
Does anybody have those gamebooks scanned? If so, I would greatly appreciate if you could share them.
Thank you in advance.
Yegor,
Ukraine

Maybe someone could make photos of the pages? No need to scan your precious books. As long as the photos are readable, it's ok. I'm willing to pay a couple of dollars/euro for this.

Hi Yegor, I have a link where you can get at least one more of the Dave Morris books - but bear with me as the forum rules say I must post three messages before I can include a link!

So, one thing I would say is that it's worth looking at the Fabled Lands blog, as Dave Morris often puts up links to his old gamebooks there.

Also (this is the 3rd message!) the Fabled Lands blog often has a giveaway at Christmas which is sometimes HeroQuest related. OK, so three time's the charm and maybe the forum wil now let me post that link Smiley

Hi Yegor, you can get the second Dave Morris book here:

http://preview.tinyurl.com/zypbbtm

and the Fabled Lands blog:
http://fabledlands.blogspot.co.uk/
sometimes has PDFs of HQ gamebooks.

Hope that helps!

You should definitely try it, Heroquestelf (use Chaim's link).
First of all, it's a fun read. Then it's a gamebook adventure, and finally it's a quest for HQ.

These books are where the official Quests A Growl of Thunder: Solo Quest for the Barbarian from the book The Tyrant's Tomb and Running the Gauntlet: Solo Quest for the Wizard from the book The Screaming Spectre came from.

I have finally translated Beyond the World's Edge (among other lesser things). What picture is used before the adventure? Before In the Night Season it was Courage.

Found the Tyrant's Tomb! So more translations to come. Still need to know what pictures preceed the game books.

It's been a long time, but finally everything is ready.
3 translated gamebooks, hero tiles and over 50 cards for the first book, dice, counters and the box.

Thanks. Most of the things were ready last year. I was just waiting to buy a suitable box.
