Combination Spell Groups

So, with the extra group I created for HQR (control, which is all the mental stuff), I have eight "flavours" of Spells. I'm looking to create a set of advanced spells that each combine two of these flavours. I'm just at a loss as to how these add together. I have some of them, but not others. Can anyone help fill in the blanks?

Fire + Earth = Metal
Fire + Air = Energy/Power
Fire + Detection = Light
Fire & Darkness = Horror/Fear/Terror
Fire & Control = Bravery/Command
Water & Earth = Wood/Plants
Water & Air = Ice
Air + Darkness = annihilation/Void
Detection + Control = Illusion
Darkness & Control = Stasis
Fire + Protection = ?
Water + Detection = ?
Water + Protection = ?
Water + Darkness = ?
Water + Control = ?
Earth + Detection = ?
Earth + Protection = ?
Earth + Darkness = ?
Earth + Control = ?
Air + Detection = ?
Air + Protection = ?
Air + Control = ?
Air + Protection = ?
Protection + Darkness = ?

Fire + Protection = Faith
Water + Detection = Change
Water + Protection = Elusiveness/Escape
Water + Darkness = Angst/Phobia
Water + Control = Movement
Earth + Detection = Nature
Earth + Protection = Earth Elementary
Earth + Darkness = Dungeoneering/Orientation
Earth + Control = Matter Manipulation
Air + Detection = Invisibility/Hiding in plain sight
Air + Protection = Forcefield
Air + Control = Flight/Hovering
Air + Protection = Telekinesis

Just a quick brainstorm. Maybe this gives you some ideas.
The Elementary thing you should consider for every element, but when respectively combined with different groups, along the lines of what you can associate with what an elementary does for each aspect.

That does give me some ideas. I had removed four pairs for being opposites (Fire + Water for example), I may need to remov four more for being different aspects of the same thing!

Water + Protection = Holy Water, Blessing, ointments, potions?
Earth + Detection = Discovery, Finding Secrets, Tracking?
Protection + Darkness = Wards, Runes, Sacrifices?

Fire + Water = Steam / Lava / Volcanoes? (Lava should probably be Fire + Earth but you have that as Metal, so...)
Air + Earth = Nature
Darkness + Detection = Shadows
Protection + Detection = Counter-magic
Protection + Control = Time magic (OR Anti-magic)

I believe that fills in the entire table. Don't forget to make some "double spells" too; I.E. spells made from two or three of the same element!
