Well HQ was ahead of it's time. Before BGG, before the internet. Heck we used to use snail mail to send homemade expansions to each other.

I got hold of this figuring it'd be perfect to get the GF interested in less "traditional" American-style board games.  She thinks it's too complicated for her.  I'm afraid she might be right, but I suspect if I have her assist me with reading the various elements of playing through the first story as a solo play, she might pick it up.

I just love the game, really, and I'm sure she'll love it too if she comes to understand it enough to play.  Coming from HQ, it's not really all that much more complex—though I'd rather have more dice that were less busy personally.  But for someone who hasn't played anything like it, I can see why it seems like a lot to remember in order to play.

Not a sales pitch, but just letting you guys know that the first expansion for Mice & Mystics is now shipping to people who pre-ordered and tit should be on store shelves within the month.

Mice & Mystics has been a big hit! Barnes and Noble has picked it up and is now carrying it, so they may carry the expansions as well (I hope)

Buddy and I in town here will be getting a copy.  There's a woman at my work who would probably be up for this with her bf too I think.

Excellent work GB, didn't know you had it in ya. Well done.

My brother and I both purchased this, he has played it a few times and loves it, I have still not gotten a chance, He was over this morning and ran a game for some friends but I had other stuff that had to be done so I could not play, but I did get to watch and the game looks great and can't wait to actually get to play it.

I am now a proud owner of your excellent game! Cheesy Bought it at a games con in NL saturday.

I understand there is an expansion too? I just have the core game now. They did not have it at the con unfortunately.
I saw your webshop has the expansion, plus you get 2 promo cards. I was wondering if there is a way to get promo stuff any other way, as I live in the Netherlands, and ordering from the US gets really expensive with import taxes, shipping and handling.
And it would also be cool to have those 2 lost chapters in printed format.

I'm wondering if it's possible to make you own quests like with HQ for this game...

Sjeng, thanks for picking up my game. Listen, I don't have a good answer for you. I just got back from attending Essen. We met with foreign publishers from all over Europe. Mice & Mystics is very popular over there, so I hope you will soon be able to buy the expansions locally and get the promo's as well. Do you have the English version of the base game? It has now been printed in Spanish, German, French, Italian, English, with Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, and Russian interested. You are bound to be able to find the promo cards soon.

We do plan on a printed version of the lost chapters, but that will be a ways off I'm thinking.

Well, we will see. The Dutch would likely need to pair up with another European publisher to lower costs since they would likely do a smallish print run. We will see. If the sales continue to be strong, anything can happen.
