G'day everyone,

New version out now, includes Eldar Attack expansion! Have fun.

The game is fairly simple to play, left click a marine to use him.
Left click an alien to shoot it, right click an alien to attack in hand to hand combat.
Please read the instruction file for detailed information on how to play the game.

Update: Eldar are now usable - 27 Jul 16

If you find any bugs scattered here and there, please post them so I can fix them and make this a better game.

I just tried it !
Thank you very much it's incredible !

I got a error putting a end to my game : I was going to fire into a corridor with my bolter on a gretchin :

The game seems to be very simple to use.
I only regret that my strategy to quickly move twice and take a good advance with the order first ends since you used one square size for doors and walls  : argh !
Most of the rooms are too huge now and you loose to much movement points and take too much events trying to accomplish the mission. Any way to change this and getthe original board as you did for heroquest ? (no door and wall of one square of size)

I'm not sure why you get that error, but I've uploaded a new version that should avoid this in future.

I've used these new boards as the scans of the boards I originally had were terrible. The guy I have working on the graphics made the new ones up. I understand your point about the strategy changing. I'll have a chat to him and see what we can come up with.

If you can add some sounds too :
- into the intro
- for doors
- when a marine dies or a monster and a machine
- a music background available
- when the mission script appears
- to the weapon choice menu

I've noticed into the help file something to corrige.

About the scans of the boards, I sent you a link.
I've noticed too that marines lost movement points to go out/in of the dock claw ? Not the case in the boardgame : you directly enter/go out when you cross the door that's a serious problem for strategy.
(not the same than space hulk entrance)

Since the size of walls and doors is completely different, there's a square for the size of doors & walls so a problem here look :
...A part of a wall is blocking the half of the passage...

I'm going to download your new file ^^

Thanks for the quick feedback.

Sound and music will be added for a whole host of things, not just those you mentioned. I've got a lot of musical selections to go through and finding the right tune to fit the SC theme simply takes time.

I've fixed the Help file spelling mistake.

I did know about the central dodgy wall but I forgot to fix it. Thanks for the scans, the next release will have the original board dimensions in it, i.e. no one square walls and doors. My graphics guy will redo the boards in his style to match.

I see what you mean about the docking claw movement. I'm not sure how to code that into the pathfinding code but I'll look into it.

The next release was going to be a simple bugfix but I've been adding a lot of feature requests also so that's why there has been a delay in the next release.

Most of these features have been added so the next release will either be this weekend or next.

Just played through first mission, after a nasty mine explosion killed most of my troops my commander layed the smack down on the rest of the board.

Then this..

The first bug is fixed in the next version.

The second bug I need more info on. Did this occur after the first bug happened? Did you quit the game and restart or just go to the main screen?

Just played through 1st mission.

Killed an android but couldn't find dreadnought, searched every room and ran out of turn event cards just sitting back at the shuttle things.

So couldn't complete mission and move on?

??????



Also the card that lets you reveal blips gave me an extra movement turn.

The no dreadnaught bug was me being lazy. It's fixed in the next release.

I'm not sure I understand the 2nd bug you mentioned. Do you mean the alien event "Mothership scan" card or the Ultramarine "Bio scanner" card?

The mothership scan happens when you press the end turn button and therefore you can't move. Are you saying you still had movement squares to click on during this time?

I think it was the "mothership scan" card.

When it came up I was supposed to pick a room to reveal blips I think?

As it came when i was searching the whole board I didn't pay much attention to it. I simply selected marines as i had done before, and moved them, only then releasing I hadn't seen the "end Alien turn" button.
