The large image is 300dpi and 3.5 in x 2.25 in.  Which to my sizing is regular card size (measuring cards at home).  I did read somewhere that 3.5 x 2.5 was regular card size but it appears to be be a bit wide for me.

The grey is part of the card, normally that would be white, and the current card background would be a pattern of some sort.

Thanks for the comments Slev, Ill consider making the white corners round also.

2.5x3.5 is thge "standard" which began with both poker and collectable card games, most notably MtG. Various games tend to use this size as it's become the most recognised of around half-a-dozen standards. It's also very easy to buy card sleeves for.

This game sounds interesting.  There's probably no chance I could take a peek to review (possibly playtest) what you've created is there?

surely it can not be hard to add a few pixels in the middle Smiley

interestingly.  Taken from wikipedia
Quote:
The most common sizes for playing cards are poker size (2½in × 3½in; 63 mm × 88 mm, or B8 size according to ISO 216) and bridge size (2¼in × 3½in, approx. 56 mm × 88 mm)...

I always find 2.5 in to wide personally.

I am in the final stages (I think) so I am not far from formal "beta" playtesting.

Here is the comparison

... (3.5 x 2.5) vs ... (3.5 x 2.25)

Side-by-side I think I will stick with the narrower card.

[edit] I should say thanks Slev for spurring me to make a 3.5 x 2.5 card, just so I can compare.

I may have mentioned this earlier, but there already is a game named Dungeon Escape. I know because I own it. I don't know if it matters or not.

hmm.

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeksearch.php?action=search&objecttype=boardgame&q...

The first looks similar to my idea, but the all do.  Ill try and think of a new name, nothing is ever set in stone.

lol

I suppose I could just name the game after my own RPG realm, that is unlikely to be used as a name.

Probably not.  Gaylords of Gaykingdom is probably not used by anything.
