Well true, if they can't get a single box of Blood Bowl right then they shouldn't be in business.

And for john, it's http://www.newwave.org

Were there many expansions to this game? Was it a typical GW game where you had to buy each team in a seperate expansion? And did you have to buy special characters seperately?

Hell no, biatch.  (Forgive me, I'm drinking.)  You buy the game, get the newest version of the rulebook online (For free!  You can tell this is Fanatic and not Games Workshop), and that's all.  The game comes with two teams, but if you wish to experiment with other teams, you gotta pay a hefty forty bucks for 12 or so figures.  Pretty homosexual if you ask me.  But, sometimes you can find good deals on eBay.

Anyway, I've spent no more than 40 or 50 bucks on BloodBowl.  I've got two teams only, cause I only have plastics, and I bought a bunch of extra plastics 36 to be exact) of Orcs and Humans, and we have a ball with the game.  If you play it right, it can be very cheap.

Has anybody called new wave yet? Remember their website won't have the BB stuff (they can't advertise it anymore).

Hey Scratch, I saw the best piecce of gaming terain i've ever seen out side of a white dwarf magazine. It was at the local gaming centre and it was up for sale at a price of AU$250 which is an absolute bargain.

I was a fully done Blood Bowl arena. It was on a piece of hardboard about 4ft x 4ft. and it had grand stands light towers, places for each team to stand, scoreboards all done in a undead theme. There were cheering corpses in the grandstands, evil goblins in the scoreboard tower and opeating the light towers (that look like they actually worked). There was a tower for the comentators, plus rats and sculls and undead corpses lying around everywhere. The playing pitch had the lines and all painted onto a green bit of felt and was done to a magnificent standard. I've never really gone much for Bloodbowl, but this diorama took my breath away. I've seen some good stuff in my day, but this was awesome. I wish I could convey how cool it was as my description probably sounds pretty lame.

No shit man it was a fucking A1 job. The guy who done it must have put many, many hours work into it, and he really new his shit as it was a true work of art.

I've seen a few pictures of home-made pitches, and for the most part, they fucking rock.  They had some posted on www.talkbloodbowl.com .  You should take your digital camera and take some pictures of that pitch you saw.

I'd never pay that much for any gaming thing, though.  First off, I could probably make my own, if I wasn't so lazy.  Second, I NEVER EVEN FUCKING PLAY THE GAME CAUSE MY FRIENDS ARE HOMOSEXUALS!  Smiley

I did think about taking some pics. I mite take my camera and ask if I can next time I go (thats if it's still there).

When it comes to buying stuff I take into consideration the cost in hours that it would have taken + the cost of materials + it has to be a better standard that I can do myself.

This thing was a bargain. I doubt if the $250 would have covered the materials let alone how long it took to build. I do hear what you're saying though, I could build my own too, but I doubt I ever will.

Come on, NN , with your talent for painting a bloodbowl field would be a snap. You could probably do it with a 4x4 piece of strafoam , paint it green , and mark the lines with white paint or something that raise the lines above the green . By the way, OFR, either get new friends or stop whining them being homosexual. Kiss
